Frequently Asked Questions

Clear Answers to Common Questions

General Questions

What do I need to bring to an in-person or virtual notarization?
You must provide a current, government-issued photo ID (such as a Florida driver’s license, passport, or state ID card). The document must also be complete with no blank spaces before the signing begins.
Can a notary draft legal documents or give legal advice?
No. Florida law strictly prohibits non-attorney notaries from giving legal advice, drafting legal documents, or telling you which form to use. If you need legal guidance, please consult a qualified attorney.

Mobile / In-Person Questions

Where can we meet for a mobile notarization?
We can meet at your home, business, coffee shop, hospital, nursing facility, or any public location in DeFuniak Springs and surrounding Walton County areas.
How are travel fees calculated?
Travel fees are based on location and distance, agreed upon prior to the appointment so there are never any hidden costs or surprises.

Drive and wait time charges may be applicable for distances greater than 10 miles.

Virtual (RON) Questions

Is Remote Online Notarization legal in Florida?
Yes. Under Florida law (Chapter 117, Part II), Remote Online Notarization is fully legal, secure, and recognized statewide. Our virtual services are available globally, domestic or international, but availability does not guarantee acceptance in every jurisdiction. Confirm acceptance with the document recipient before booking.
How does identity verification work online?
Before the video call, you will upload a photo of your government ID and answer a few automated identity-verification questions. Once verified, we join a live video session to execute and seal your document.
